Police in Grand Prairie are investigating the deaths of a mother and daughter whose bodies were found inside a home on the 1800 block of Sandra Lane.
Family members of victim Jennifer Krieger called police after not being able to reach her or her 14-year-old daughter Kelsie since Thursday evening.
“My first reaction was, 'This can’t be happening,'” said Jennifer's sister, Jill Krieger. “I said, 'That’s not normal – for both phones to go to the voice mail.'”
Krieger’s sisters said the last contact anyone made with Jennifer was when she called into work on Friday, citing a family emergency.
Police forced entry into Krieger’s home on Sunday morning and discovered the two bodies.
They have not released how the woman and teenager were killed.
Investigators have said, however, the alleged crime appears to be one of domestic violence.

A man, who police have only identified as Krieger’s boyfriend or romantic interest, was taken into custody later on Sunday out of state.
Krieger’s family said she had a tumultuous relationship with her fianceé.
“She would talk to me about it. All I could tell her is, 'I wish the best for you,'” her sister said.
However, as of Sunday evening, no one had been formally charged in the two deaths.
Family members remember Jennifer Krieger as outgoing and outspoken, adding that Kelsie was involved in volleyball at school and was looking forward to pursuing a singing career and starting high school in the fall.
