A woman has died and her husband is fighting for his life after their car caught on fire Wednesday in Frisco.
The fire was reported at 1:17 p.m. in the 5700 block of Warren Parkway, which is just outside Baylor Medical Center at Frisco.
When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, they found the vehicle heavily engulfed.
Marily Savoy, 71, was pronounced dead at the scene, and 78-year-old Robert Savoy was transported by medical helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas for treatment of critical injuries.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and the smoke briefly caused a partial evacuation of an adjacent physician building.
