The northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 35E near Corinth Parkway have reopened after crews made repairs to power lines.
Officials confirmed to NBC 5 crews had to shut down the interstate in both directions because some Denton County residents are unable to contact 911.
Earlier Tuesday afternoon, a single power line was dragged to the ground, across all lanes of traffic, after somehow being snagged by a passing rock hauler.
Witnesses at a nearby business said it appeared the truck was trying to dump its load along the roadside and just accidentally hit the line, pulling it down.
Lt. Jim Gregg with the Corinth Police Department said the truck was working with the 35Express project and it appears the driver was not injured. He also said no other injuries were reported from the incident but it did lead to some other small crashes on side-roads throughout town.
The lanes were closed as drivers were diverted from the highway onto the frontage roads. Northbound drivers were allowed to pass the scene while drivers on the southbound side were being detoured onto side roads for about an hour and a half.
Kimberly Sims, Public Information Officer with the 35Express project, said they are gathering the details of what happened but they were pleased crews were able to remove the line from the road quickly and get traffic moving again.

The roadway closed for a second time just after 5 p.m. while crews, working on foot and in cherry pickers, fixed the line to restore 911 services in the area.
The road was back up and slowly moving to full speed within about 10 minutes of that work starting.
