The Dallas Cowboys will be breaking ground Friday in Frisco where they will build a brand new headquarters and practice facility.
Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, the mayor of Frisco and the Frisco ISD superintendent will all be in attendance, as the multi-use complex will also house Frisco ISD high school football games.
Football is a way of life and passion for the players at Heritage High School in Frisco.
In about two years, some of them will be playing their games in the same brand new, state-of-the-art sports complex as the Dallas Cowboys.
“It’s really nice playing where the Cowboys practice,” said Heritage senior offensive lineman Colin Yang. “We all look up to them.”
The new multi-use event center will have restaurants, shops and several fields.
“[It’s] an unbelievable facility,” said Heritage High School head coach football Che Hendrix. “Frisco ISD and the Cowboys did a great job designing it and partnering with each other. What a special place.”

For Heritage senior wide receiver Chris Baez, he will have graduated by the time his team plays in the facility. But he says playing there will have a lasting impact on their program.
“It’s very special,” said Baez. “We are an underrated football program to begin with, so when we show up there for big games and represent our school, it’s going to be nice.”
