The Hood County News reported an 18-year-old woman pulled from the Brazos River in Granbury on Saturday has died. [[311652211,L]]
The teen's name has not been made public.
The Brazos River Authority said the teen went under the surface at the Granbury City Beach located on the Lambert Branch of the Brazos River just after 6 p.m. Saturday.
A Granbury Volunteer firefighter pulled her from the water and gave her CPR. She was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center, according to Judy Pierce of the Brazos River Authority.
This is the latest water death involving children and young adults. So far in 2015, 40 Texas children or young people, have died from drowning.
