Officials said an 18-wheeler carrying 48,000 pounds of tomatoes wrecked and caught on fire on Interstate 30 in Dallas early Thursday morning.[[288697051,L]]
The driver lost control of the 18-wheeler and crashed into the guardrail on eastbound I-30 near Lawnview Avenue just before 3 a.m., authorities said. The truck scraped along the wall of a bridge, tearing open the diesel tank and igniting the fuel.
Authorities reopened all lanes just before 8 a.m. after the wreck shut the interstate down for several hours.
No one was injured in the wreck.
