10-Minute Chase Leads to Six-Car Crash in Fort Worth

A short chase involving Fort Worth police officers and a person driving a stolen vehicle ended in a big crash Monday afternoon.

Fort Worth Police said the chase at about 3:30 p.m. only lasted 10 minutes. It started when an officer reportedly spotted a stolen car and tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver kept going.

The suspect driver eventually struck an inner curb at 300 East Northside Drive, causing the car to flip over and strike oncoming traffic, according to police.

Six vehicles were involved in the crash. Four people were taken to the hospital, including two people from the suspected stolen vehicle.

Their conditions were not known as of Monday evening.

Fort Worth Police are investigating.
