JOGGER ATTACKED BY PHONY CITY WORKER: COPS
Police said someone posing as a Denton city worker attacked a woman during her afternoon jog Tuesday. It happened at about 1:30 p.m. along Roselawn Drive. According to the victim and several witnesses, the truck had the words "Denton Services" in stick-on letters on the door. Police said they don't believe it was an actual city truck. COPS: FREE MASSAGE TURNS INTO SEX ASSAULT
A salon and spa owner accused of taking advantage of a woman during a free massage session was arrested Thursday and charged with sexual assault, Little Elm police said. Armando Antonelli, the owner of Juliet Salon and Spa in Little Elm, was arrested after being indicted for sexual assault, Asst. Chief Ric Sadler said. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.
POLICE SEEK FATAL HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER
Police said a 50-year-old homeless woman was killed as she tried to cross Stemmons Freeway at about 6 a.m. Thursday, The Dallas Morning News reported. The driver fled after striking the woman in the northbound lanes near Hi Line Drive, just north of downtown Dallas. Police were interviewing witnesses to get a description of the vehicle.
POLICE SEARCH FOR MEN IN LUNCHTIME ROBBERIES
Dallas police are searching for two men in connection with at least 10 business robberies since August. Investigators said Anthony Elias Romo, 21, and another man usually rob the stores when they are crowded during lunchtime. Romo can be seen punching a store employee in surveillance video of a robbery at the Big C Grocery Store, police said. Police said a store employee was shot in the stomach during another robbery. Police are also looking for another man who has not been identified. Anyone with information on Romo's whereabouts should call Dallas police at 214-671-3584. MAN GETS PRISON OVER GRANDPA'S ROOF DEATH
A plea agreement means 10 years in prison for a Fort Worth man whose elderly grandfather died after being shoved off a roof.
Prosecutors say 41-year-old Myron Lee Wilson and 81-year-old Claude Downey had argued before the grandson pushed the older man and he fell as both worked on a roof. Downey suffered fatal head injuries in the Feb. 26 incident. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.
FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS FIRE DAMAGES BUILDING
A two-alarm fire at an old abandoned building in the Fort Worth Stockyards left a roof collapsed. The fire was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Firefighters worked from outside the building to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries reported, authorities said.
