A Watauga barbershop is offering a $500 reward for the return of a special military jacket stolen last week.
Andrea Liner, the owner of the Upscale Barber Shop, said a jacket that belonged to her grandfather, who served in World War II, was taken in a burglary Dec. 30.
"I don't care who took it," she said. "I just want it back. I don't care. He's gone, and there's nothing else that can replace that."
Liner said barber supplies and a television were also stolen, but said the jacket has sentimental value.
Her father, Gary Johnson, works at his daughter's barbershop in the 6100 block of Watauga Road.
"There's no reason to take a jacket like that," said Gary Johnson, who works at his daughter's barbershop in the 6100 block of Watauga Road. "I'll give $500 reward to get Dad's jacket because something like that, you can't replace it."
Johnson said Watauga police took fingerprints after the robbery.
