A Rangers fan was ejected from Game 3 of the World Series after throwing what looked like a whiffle ball onto the field.
As Nelson Cruz hit a fly ball into left field, the fan, sitting in the first row of the left-center field stands, threw a ball to the left of Matt Holliday, left fielder for the Cardinals.
Holliday caught the sacrifice fly, unfazed by the fan's actions. The fan and another he was with were escorted by Rangers security from their seats.
According to MLB rules, the fan's actions did not constitute "fan interference," and no action was taken in-game to adjust for the interaction.
